Co-founder, CTO and full-stack developer for Groupie’s cross-platform music-sharing social media application, allowing users to share their favorite albums, songs and playlists from Spotify. Sole developer for both Android and iOS versions using TypeScript and React Native.- Built a social media from scratch, with a timeline, messaging, friends, search, notifications, caching and more.- Created a custom Google Firebase user database for a responsive and highly available back-end.- Integrated the app with the Spotify API for music data.- Optimized and refactored the app in TypeScript with knowledge gained over the years of proper React paradigms.- Wrote a custom unit test suite with Jest to automatically detect issues in the app.

Engineer on the LiveTV team at Amazon’s FireTV organization. Contributed to optimizing, scaling, investigating and adding features to highly scale-able services, aimed at improving the customer experience as well as reducing costs. Participated in weekly on-call rotations in an Agile workflow. Utilized AWS tools and metrics to make design decisions and investigate issues of highly scaled micro-services.

I worked on an NSF-funded research project under the direction of Dr. Zongming Fei and Dr. James Griffioen in the Department of Computer Science. I worked alongside other researchers to test the implementation of a Software-Defined Network within the campus network.- Worked with two other undergraduate researchers to build file storage server and clients that communicate between independent UNIX environments using C/C++.- Ran upload and download speed tests between campus network locations using rclone to determine performance increases from the Software-Defined Network.- Used Wireshark to analyze packet flows to interpret how cloud storage applications (e.g. Google Drive) dynamically use IP addresses in DNS responses and subsequent TCP file transfers.- Helped write a server and client interface using Python to transfer files from the client to a server, and finally to a remote cloud storage application. This was to improve outbound campus data transfer speeds.

I worked with other computer science students to continue development of the team's data analysis program. The program receives radio data from the solar car, calculates useful information from this data, and displays the data in charts and graphs. I re-worked the user interface by implementing graphs in the Java Swing library that plot data coming in from the solar car. I also worked with the other groups within the team to meet deadlines and created a user-friendly interface that any team member can operate.
