This role involved managing and producing written content for The London Coffee Festival, an annual event with over 30,000 visitors, as well as the Amsterdam and Milan Coffee Festivals. As well as creating articles and email campaigns in coordination with the company’s vast list of partners, the role also involves running their social media channels (including LCF’s Instagram which has over 65,000 followers) and creating a physical magazine for each event. The latter has been the most rewarding; for Milan I had to coordinate with designers, printers, translators and Italian copywriters to strict deadlines. This employment was unfortunately drawn to an early close due to coronavirus' severe effect on the events industry.

After finishing my year’s internship in the International Talent & Music team I was invited back on a freelance basis to help produce & coordinate a project run by the Social Responsibility department sourcing young talent (both London-based and international) and giving them opportunities within creative teams at this year’s MTV European Music Awards, an event I was heavily involved in 2016 in Rotterdam, NL. This work was crucial in developing an eye for detail and keeping on top of a project from a macro perspective, and developed production and managerial skills such as event planning, cross-department coordination, interviewing candidates, and delegation.

I was selected from over 300 applicants as part of Viacom's 'One Big Year' scheme in the International Talent and Music department, assisting executives and directors with coordinating marketing and promotional campaigns and pitches, international playlist programming, music research for booking and broadcast, playlist creation, event production, as well as having a direct input in the direction of original content. Given my journalistic background, I also assisted with overflow of editorial pieces for MTV UK, writing features and interviewing talent for online content.

In my final year of my undergraduate degree, I was the editor of The Mic Magazine - the University of Nottingham's official music magazine. My main duties involved: daily contact with various record label's PR departments, some of which I am still in contact with; selecting content for each issue, and distributing commissions amongst our large pool of contributors; writing content and helping design issues with the use of Adobe Illustrator. A huge achievement was transforming the magazine from black and white to full glossy issues, as well as establishing a fully functioning website.

As part of a summer school course in beginner's Mandarin at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, I was selected by the University of Nottingham to be an ambassador, a paid role in which I was responsible for promoting the university to potential international students, as well as attend and give talks about my experience at study abroad events.
