• Responsible for directing production operations, inventory control, quality, production engineering, building services and supply chain management for a high volume, high SKU manufacturing facility comprised of 120 associates. • Integral in establishing performance indicators, operating goals, realignment initiatives, productivity improvements, and cost reduction programs that doubled operational output in 6 years while improving product quality and labor utilization.• Responsible for all aspects of material, customer service, demand planning systems, logistics, warehousing, distribution, cost control, inventory management and provision of OTIF (on time in full) delivery. • Developed and implemented Strategic Plans in each operational area to improve departmental focus and align actions with company goals..

• Managed all supply chain functions related to purchased goods. • Responsible for the planning and procurement of all purchased materials, parts, supplies, equipment, services, inventory and delivery of purchased goods, and the disposal of all scrap, surplus or obsolete materials and equipment. • Implemented Lean Purchasing strategy designed to reduce lead times, increase inventory turns, and shrink the supplier base. • Negotiated supplier agreements to save over $100K through lead-time reduction initiatives, planning and inventory control changes, and improved delivery arrangements.

• Responsible for planning, coordinating and executing assembly activities of advanced CNC metalworking machinery. • Managed and directed 4 supervisors and 150+ skilled professionals in seven assembly production departments. • Oversaw assembly quality and made production schedule change decisions. • Introduced Lean concepts, began 5S in assembly areas and created process flow diagrams to pave way for standardization.

• Worked with Sales and Production Engineering to set production schedule and lead times for all products. • Directed the release of all raw materials, electronic components, manufactured parts, purchased parts, electrical assemblies, and machine assemblies in support of the production schedule. • Determined appropriate staffing levels for fabrication, machining and assembly based on sales forecast and production plan.• Developed and implemented MRP system changes to support Lean initiatives.

• Responsible for all raw materials, purchased goods, and finished manufactured inventory. • Supervised receiving, stock room and shipping. • Worked extensively with manufacturing, assembly and purchasing areas to implement continuous flow process and “point of use” stocking utilizing Kanban and reorder points. • Reduced inventory levels by 25% while experiencing continued cost increases on raw materials and purchased items.

• Managed and directed the work of a skilled Engineering staff in support of all aspects of the laser product line. • Reviewed and collected floor requested design changes, cost savings proposals, performance improvements and R&D implementation plans into defined design projects with outlined responsibilities and timelines for implementation. • Served as first line of technical support for the production floor and regularly reviewed production and purchasing costs as part of a continuous cost reduction program.

• Determined selling prices for all new machines, custom options, repair parts, and service rates. • Regularly reviewed cost analysis of all products and compared to selling prices to determine profit margin.• Reviewed and negotiated customer contracts and agreements.• Created electronic database for all selling price proposals, price lists and pricing related formulas.
