Born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1955, I immigrated to Durban in 1976 to join the rest of my family and enjoy the wonderful lifestyle offered in that part of South Africa. My journey in terms of business career growth has taken me from a technical repair post, moving onto some sales positions through to Executive Sales & Leadership roles for a large ICT Corporate Company.I retired from Bytes Systems Integration, a Division of JSE-listed Altron, as Executive Sales Director in September 2018. As a member of the Executive team we experienced year on year growth taking the company to a turnover of R2.4bn (US$ 170 million) with a staff compliment of around 1,400.Having been taught the finer part of sales by Xerox, using the Xerox Learning System process, I pride myself in taking a professional approach to business engagement and relationship management.I'm presently heading the sales effort for the Southern African expansion of two very exciting and highly synergistic business ventures; SecurityHQ, a foremost Managed Security Services Provider "MSSP", with 6 worldwide SOC's and over 260+ SecurityHQ experts (level 1-4) on demand around the globe, the company augurs next generation combating of cyber threats in this region. Fulcrum Biometrics Southern Africa (Pty) Limited, in a joint venture with Fulcrum Biometrics Inc. of Texas, themselves a subsidiary of global giant Fujitsu Frontech. Fulcrum provide leading Biometric Hardware and FBF - an internationally acclaimed Biometric software solution platform.
