My responsibilities as course lecturer for BUSA 250 include lecturing all course content, grading all assignments, and providing students with extensive feedback to improve their written and oral English skills both at the university level and for their future business careers. My goal is to encourage each student to thoughtfully approach their own writing in order to develop their own unique critical and expressive voices.

My responsibilities as course lecturer include designing course syllabi, lecturing all course content, creating and administering assignments and examinations, and supervising a course’s teaching assistants. Courses often include poetry, short stories, novels, and plays. While my pedagogical goal is to focus on close reading and textual analysis to develop students’ interpretive skills, I also focus on the historical context of each particular work and provide material to frame the texts as participating in the wider historical and cultural spheres of English literature.

My responsibilities as T.A. included marking tests and papers, holding office hours, preparing lecture materials, and lecturing at least two-hours per term.

As a research assistant under Professor Miranda Hickman, my responsibilities included finding, obtaining, and summarizing reviews of Wyndham Lewis’s 1954 novel Self-Condemned, as well as preparing a copy-text of the novel. The latter task involved collating the 1954 British publication and the subsequent 1955 American edition. After careful inspection, these two editions were revealed to be printed from the same plates, containing the same typographical errors and identical type-setting. Professor Hickman will use this copy-text to produce a forthcoming edition of the novel.

As a research assistant under Professor Miranda Hickman, my responsibilities included finding, obtaining, and summarizing reviews of Q.D. Leavis’ Fiction and the Reading Public (1932), as well as Wyndham Lewis’ The Vulgar Streak (1941) and Self Condemned (1954). I was also responsible for checking each of the two biographies written on Lewis for the circumstances of the compositions of the aforementioned novels. I was also responsible for compiling a complete bibliography of critical works regarding the poet H.D. written between 1999 and 2015.
