Responsible for coordinating estimating team during bid preparation of full cost estimates on conceptual, design-build, as well as publicly tendered work. Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Calculate estimates on self-performed work complete with quantity takeoff and scope of work. Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current information on prices from suppliers and sub-trades through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.

Monitored quality control and deficiency completion of the structural steel fabrication and erection as performed by the general contractor on a major U.S. mine processing facility upgrade.

Oversee projects from initial estimation phase to completion and wrap-up. Accountable for cost estimates, establishment of budgets and schedules, subcontractor coordination and client liaison. Work included preparation and execution of private and public tenders, sub-contract agreements, quality control documentation and other duties required on a job-to-job basis.Responsible for implementing and maintaining the overall health and safety on company projects. Works included ensuring WCB compliance, implementation of safe work procedures and job hazard analysis. Maintaining incident/accident recording system, checking of corrective action, and injury follow up. Conduct audits and site safety inspections.

Responsible for supervising survey team on projects for construction layout and maintaining quality control tolerances. Coordinating and supervising subcontractors, implementing and revising architectural, structural and shop drawings for both industrial and commercial construction sites. Assisted senior estimator by preparing subcontractor bid packages, soliciting and maintaining communication with subcontractors and vendors, transmit addenda and other bid information to subcontractors, and ensuring proper coverage from subcontractors on bid day.
