As the general supervisor at Haptix Studio, I am responsible for overseeing project planning, day to day operations and development of this wonderful motion capture and multimedia studio in Lansing, Michigan. I have been in this role since the studio's inception in 2020, and I have successfully managed multiple aspects of the business, including directing motion capture shoots, multiple renovations and infrastructure upgrades, staffing, preproduction planning, sales, and public relations.Haptix is the largest entertainment motion capture studio in the midwest, and we work on exciting projects of all types, including cinematics, dance routines, state machines, and large group scenes. We are proficient in Unreal Engine animation workflows and regularly work with Metahumans and other game-ready character rigs. We run an Optitrack system of 56 cameras in a 65 x 40 ft space, as well as a large LED wall for virtual production. We're always looking for new clients and partnerships, feel free to reach out about your upcoming game or cinematic projects!I have also been heavily involved in the studio's educational partnerships. We bring students from Michigan public schools to learn about video, audio, and motion capture production, usually by suiting up themselves. I have contributed to the design and delivery of engaging and informative curricula, events, and activities that showcase the potential and applications of these technologies, and we have brought over 300 students to the studio since our inception. With over 12 years of professional experience in 3D animation, videography, and graphic design, I am passionate about sharing my skills and knowledge with the next generation of creative professionals. My ultimate goal is to take over the world, but until then I'll be building virtual ones.
