No matter how many things change in our business, creativity is the one constant--the thing that makes an emotional impact, that forges connections between people and brands and inspires them to act.Throughout my career, I've been lucky to partner with many talented creatives and brave clients, and along the way, done the work and led that work that has earned dozens of international industry awards and gotten noticed in places like The New York Times, Wired, and the BBC. I've written about creativity and the advertising industry for The Drum, Campaign, Adweek, Columbia Journalism Review, and McSweeney’s, and I'm an associate member of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. I'm a second-generation ad guy, a failed, classically-trained musician, and I live in Bedford, New York with my wife, our two sons, and a treat-addicted beagle named Twix.Thanks for stopping by.     HS Ad, LG's in-house agency, was founded in 1984. I led brand and advertising creative at LG's North American headquarters. I launched the brand's new NCAA partnership with a six-part documentary series about historic college sports rivalries, appearing exclusively on LG Smart TVs. I was invited by The One Club to speak at the organization's first combined "Creative Leaders Retreat + WITHIN" event for creative leaders. And our campaign for a limited-edition Star Wars OLED TV was recognized by Adweek as one of the best on #Maythe4th and won an OBIE.

I was hired to establish the Brand Studio, the Group’s in-house agency, which produces creative globally for The Economist, Economist Intelligence, and Economist Events. I helped lead a rebrand of the entire organization, including a new brand architecture and new design system across the Group's businesses. Our International Women’s Day campaign for The Economist was lauded by The Drum as one of the best of 2021, alongside Lego, Ikea, and North Face. I launched a new chapter of the brand’s “white out of red” campaign, bringing that storied campaign into our digital social channels. And our work touting The Economist's climate change coverage was recognized by the International News Media Association as one of the year's best subscription campaigns.
