A driven real estate pro with over 40 years’ experience, John is the previous President and Owner of BAM Builder Advertising and Marketing.With an MBA from York University and an extensive background in the new home industry, John Amardeil has, since 1979, established an outstanding track record with respect to the marketing and sale of new homes and condos in the GTA.Beginning his career with Wimpey Homes, John has worked for some of the most prominent builders in Ontario including Camrost Developments, Penta Stolp, and as the VP of Sales and Marketing for both Mattamy Homes and Tribute Communities.As President of BAM Builder Advertising and Marketing from 2000-2018, John grew the company until it was known as a key player in the new home industry. He worked with dozens of innovative builders and developers on groundbreaking projects that at times helped to change the face of the industry. In an increasingly technologically-driven world, John focused on developing the strategic digital marketing side of BAM, until it became BAM’s main expertise.John has marketed and sold well over 50,000 new homes – a track record that would undoubtedly facilitate the expeditious marketing and sale of any new home project.John has also been a frequent speaker at seminars and industry events for BILD, OHBA and EnerQuality, and served as as a Member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee for EnerQuality Corporation for a decade (2011-2021).After an incredible 18 years of running BAM, John stepped away in order to have more time to do the things he enjoys in life and has earned the ability to enjoy – spending time with his wife Karen and at his cottage in Muskoka, racing his car, skiing, and travelling.He also served as Interim CEO for EnerQuality Corporation from April to July 2021.Currently, John is a Senior Consultant for McOuat Partnership, where he is the lead for Highmark Homes’ first high-rise project, 346 units coming soon to Pickering.John has also been busy volunteering for the Township of Muskoka Lakes' Heritage & Attainable Housing Committee, the District of Muskoka's Housing Task Force on the Development Process & Available Tools Committee, Habitat for Humanity's Bala Build, and University Settlement in Toronto as a Member of the Board of Directors.John recently received a Net Zero Building Science certificate from the Canadian Home Builders’ Association and EnerQuality, as well as an Advanced Building Science certificate and ENERGY STAR® for New Homes V17 Builder Training certificate, both from EnerQuality.
