This project saved Nortel over $10M and I accumulated 42 days of overtime within 45 calendar days.- Evaluated 3rdparty archiving solutions (Arkivio, Commvault, EMC DiskExtender) including proof of concept trial in 2008.- Chaired weekly engineering forum from 2007 to 2010, focussing on computing environment standards and system configurations controllable via cfengine.- Developed perl mechanism that compares network printers configured on UNIX-based systems against a list and automatically adds any missing. Without this, a global Nortel printer/photocopier replacement program in 2007 would not have been feasible.- Solaris 7/8/9/10, HP-UX 10/11/11i and RHEL 4

Its polling of over 2000 non-Windows servers saved Nortel $6M in 2002 and provided data for mechanism generating NIS automounter maps hourly at all major Nortel sites, also developed by me.- Developed in-house NFS scanning/reporting tool that summarized file level attributes per filesystem for all Nortel NAS data, facilitating optimization programs and was instrumental in all of Nortel's divestiture planning from late 2006 to 2011.- Engineering and operational oversight for CVS-controlled implementation of cfengine managing 3/4 of Nortel's non-lab UNIX-based server/workstation systems in Ottawa since 1998 and globally 2001-2011- Auspex NS600/NS7000/NS2000, Netapp 7-mode, EMC Celerra & Symmetrix, Hitachi & HP XP512 storage arrays with McData/Connectrix/Brocade SAN switches- Solaris 5/6/7/8, HP-UX 9/10, RHEL 4, some AIX 4.X, Xterminals
