Probity Capital Corporation (“Probity”) is a unique capital markets firm founded on the principles of excellence, integrity and a desire to make money with our clients and friends, not off of them. Probity seeks to address some of the failings in the capital markets and targets three themes: advice, structuring, and distribution to a broad universe of investors. Of course, there must be a sense of enjoyment for all. To that end Probity works with a select few asset managers helping them to structure their best funds for multiple distribution channels. Probity seeks out funds that have the attributes investors want and helps those funds grow their assets. Probity also works with a select few corporate clients providing capital markets advice and guidance. Our corporate clients may be public or private, and may or may not require financing. Our corporate clients must have attributes that give them the very best chance for success (e.g. capable “been there, done it” management, great products, great market opportunity, intellectual property protection, revenue, potential for liquidity etc.) and the potential returns for investors must be attractive. Were the companies to require financing, we will not compete against other investment banks but rather assist management to select a process and investment bank that will best contribute towards the company’s success. We will help the company and the investment bank through that process, being additive to the financing. Probity will also tackle special situations as and if they present themselves, creating or structuring funds or corporations to suit those situations. These must be attractive opportunities that are worthy of our time and effort and they may take various forms, including building funds around specific time-based investment ideas that we feel deliver on our motto.
