My aviation experience started as a Cabin Crew in a Middle East based airline. I have also been a Purser and a Crew Training Facilitator in the same organisation. I have also had the opportunity to participate in the course content planning, design, and delivery of the airline’s Crew Resource Management courses for flight crew members across the network. The years spent in these roles exposed me to realise various possibilities, work with talented colleagues, learn from highly-skilled mentors, and explore opportunities in the industry. It ignited my passion and interest in the field of Safety Management Systems and Human Factors. The experience inspired my academic pursuit in the field of Training and Development, Leadership, Cross Culture Communication and Emotional Intelligence in the workplace. Apart from a formal training gained from a Bachelor in Communication Research, my industry experience inspired me towards an academic pursuit in the field of Training and Development, Leadership, Cross Culture Communication and Emotional Intelligence in the workplace. This lead to obtaining my Masters in Air Safety Management from City, University of London. I took courses in Safety Management Systems, Safety Risk Management, Crisis Management, Aviation Psychology, Human Resource, Airline Training and Human Factors to mention a few. Moreover, I am an advocate of providing sustainable support amongst flight crew members and the establishment of positive emotional climate within the team and the workplace.
