I've worked for a commercial painter, artisan blacksmith, textile dye & finishing plant, Ames, Wal-Mart, Weis, college student book store, dish room, and library. I was a big band and jazz announcer and rock DJ on 91.5 FM, WFHC, Henderson, TN. I also ran a "pirate" radio station out of my dorm room at both my junior and senior college, complete with station ID's and guest co-announcers. Helped produce a (college) home movie, complete with SFX and music beds, cinematography, and video editing. Attempted a college (underground) newspaper, too. Especially at my junior college, was involved in tech crew for a number of theater productions (mostly lighting but also sound cues/effects.I've edited a church newsletter and bulletin, operated a patch-together sound system, and cobbled together and repaired old computers. (Minor upgrades only.) Attempted preaching at my current church, but don't have the time to prepare properly.After 18 years of night-shift direct care work, I became a second shift supervisor. I started during one of the most difficult summers at our facility - understaffed, short supervisors too, and increased stress from potentially (and sometimes actually) dangerous patients... Things have gotten better with two new training classes of aides, and filling the supervisor vacancies. As of December 25, trying to stream "the Airpower Radio Network" (WCOL, WROK, KZDQ, and WBBG, my historic "pirate" call signs) on Cheapeststream.com via SAM Broadcaster Lite. Also trying Rivendell on Linux, a more professional free open-source radio automation package. Specialties: minor audio and video system design, installation, setup and repair, computer services, etc. Basic desktop publishing and editing of newsletters and similar documents. Basic desktop video and audio recording and editing. You might say I "know just enough to be dangerous" but I also know when to let a professional take over!
