CurrentI have enjoyed a career in the sports media and marketing business for over 39+ years...first as an administrator at several major universities, at the Southwest Conference, at two of the largest sports marketing companies in the US, as a private media consultant and then as Executive Director or CEO of two major sports 501(c)(3)non-profit organizations. This has given me the opportunity to work in all areas of the media...writing, internet, radio and television broadcasting, sales, marketing, promotions, fundraising and Public Relations. Some of the highlights include working events like the MLB World Series and All Star games, NFL Super Bowl, the NCAA Final Four, the BCS National Championship Football Game, the College World Series and all the top Bowl Games; serving as the Executive Director of the Greater Houston Sports Association, working for projects like Texas Football Magazine and the Southwest Conference Radio Network, HSE/Prime Network (now Fox-Southwest and the Fox Sports Networks) where I worked with the man who actually invented cable TV (Bill Daniels). In 2004, I helped establish the College Baseball Foundation in Lubbock and then created, founded and administered the first-ever College Baseball Hall of Fame. Serving as Chairman/CEO for the first 3 1/2 years, we elected and installed the intial Hall of Fame Class in 2006, ten of the most legendary figures in the sport...including Skip Bertman, Cliff Gustafson, Robin Ventura, Ron Frazier, Dave Winfield, Rod Dedeaux, Bobby Winkles, Brooks Kieschnick, Will Clark and Bob Horner.I have also served as a network play-by-play broadcaster of NCAA sports...doing football and baseball. I was proud to call the first-ever college football game played at Reliant Stadium, the College World Series and enjoyed doing a daily radio sports-talk show in the Western US.I am presently Director/CEO of Texas Independent Media/KTIM Multimedia, KTIM-FM, KTIM.org, while being a licensed Realtor in the State of Texas.
