Complete Mechanical apprenticeship learning first-hand skills required to develop into fully qualified mechanical engineering technician. Gained comprehensive experience whilst repairing and maintaining CNC/ automatic lathes, conveyor systems, material recycling systems, automated robot lines, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, mechanical transmissions and chemical plating plants. Promoted to Maintenance shift supervisor 2019 working on a 3 shift pattern, in addition to myself completing breakdown and repairs the role includes coordinating and supporting a team of 8 technicians on shift to effectively perform daily task, log work in maintenance management system, issue permits to work when necessary, ensure that PPM schedules are completed as well as ensuring that targets are met on safety, efficiency, energy, and waste. Other responsibilities include ensuring smooth progression of maintenance projects as well as engage and communicate with equipment suppliers for technical information and spare parts. Monitor all activities regarding site operations, risk assessments and co-ordinating contractors. Analysing data from maintenance management system and leading root analysis into failures to drive improvement and change across site in line with key site targets, KPIS and metrics.

NVQ level 3 in Electrical Engineering completed and signed off using work done on site at Rio Tinto Alcan. Left to find work elsewhere due to closing of the plant.
