Supplier Quality activities include pre-award survey/audit assessment, source surveillance, and post award survey/audit assessment in both prime supplier and sub supplier facilities. These activities are planned and executed on projects for the purpose of determining supplier capabilities, identifying nonconforming materials/equipment prior to shipment, and verifying the effective implementation of Supplier Quality Assurance programs.Sound knowledge of industry codes and standards is required to identify nonconforming quality and manufacturing issues before they have a chance to impact a project. Give direction to Supplier Quality Representatives in the field. Interface with Suppliers to help meet project needs and standards including NQA-1, Commercial Grade Dedication, and various other Industry codes.Write and disposition CAR’s and NCR’s for both internal and supplier quality systems.

Insuring that all welds meet at a minimum AWS D1.1 codes unless another code is specified. Documentation of fabrication process. Performing NDT methods such VT,MT,PT, and UT on a specified percentage of all welds.

Utilizing MT, PT, and UT thickness to inspect various piping, tank, and other welded structures.

Performed UT Inspections on military composite parts such as the V-22 Osprey planes and many other metal bonded parts needed for C-17, G-5, and C-130. Also performed PT and MT inspections on various Airbus metallic components.

Performed ET on dovetail section of GE gas turbines and MT on GE steam turbines at various power and nuclear sites. Also used MT, UT, and PT to inspect various tanks, welded structures, valves, and compressor blades.
