As a mechanical engineering intern for Lehigh Hanson I had the privilege of working alongside several professional engineers and gaining valuable field experience. My main project was the design and implementation of a drainage system to save a road at the southern edge of the plant from erosion due to plant runoff. The project came in $100,000 below the original estimate and was completed on schedule with no accidents or injuries. I also successfully designed a process flow diagram for our Activated Carbon Injection system and created several 3D models and CAD drawings in SolidWorks for various maintenance projects throughout the plant.
