My responsibilities as a Store Manager are to contribute to Starbucks success by leading a team of store partners to create and maintain the Starbucks Experience for our customers and partners. The store manager is required to regularly and customarily exercise discretion in managing the overall operation of the store. In particular, a majority of time is spent supervising and directing the workforce, making staffing decisions (i.e., hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, discharging, staffing and scheduling), ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality, managing the store’s financial performance, and managing safety and security within the store. The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. I have managed multiple units at a time off and on for almost two years, as well as through the pandemic.

My responsibilities as Assistant Store Manager are to contribute to Starbucks success by assisting the store manager in executing store operations. This job assists and supervises a team of store partners to create and maintain the Starbucks Experience for our customers and partners. The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

My responsibilities as Assistant Store Manager are to drive a memorable guest experience through leadership, communication, knowledge, passion, and integrity. I am responsible for training all associates in the store. I am responsible to ensure satisfaction in every guest interaction. I inspire and motivate the associates to maintain a positive work environment that increases customer retention by performing expected company behaviors and exceeding sales plan. I am responsible for opening and closing the store as well as cash office operations. I also have been requested personally to help other stores get “back in shape” such as Springfield, Danville, and Peoria. I managed a “Store of the Future” remodel team in the summer of 2017.

As Back of House supervisor, I managed the off-floor back room and the off-floor associates in order to make sure product was being cycled to the floor, the backroom was kept above standards, and any inventory on hand was accounted for and stored correctly.
