I currently work as an Assistant Land Steward for the the Delaware Nature Society. Some of my duties include leading a small crew in various land management activities, such as invasive species control, habitat restoration, reforestation, and other environmental management and conservation projects. Other duties can include trail and access road maintenance, carpentry projects, and basic mechanical repairs. I also aid in running volunteer events that can consist of up to 300 people.

White Clay Creek State Park

While working for DNREC based out of White Clay Creek State Park, I conducted proactive policing and patrolling methods for a 3,300 acre park, sometimes alone or with up to 1-2 other officers. As a Park Patrol Officers (PPO), I was entrusted to open, patrol, and close the park with a 2017 Chevrolet Law Enforcement Edition Tahoe. Here, I learned important skills such as situation escalation/de-escalation tactics, self defense, radio communication etiquette, narrative report writing, and first aid skills. I am proud to say that I was responsible for the tracking and arrest of a wanted fugitive with a felony warrant for assault on an officer and assisted in 2 other arrests.
