The testing highlighted color saturation after 40° of bending.- Developed light control box via OnshapeCAD, which controls light emitted from an LED allowing researchers to test waveguide light transmission capabilities at known inputs while blocking out interference from external light sources.- Assisted in Manufacturing of 50+ optical waveguides via electrospinning and UV Curing. Each waveguide is capable of sensing force contact and bending angle of a soft robot for interventional bronchoscopy.

- Analyzed 450+ manufacturing drawings to identify production items that could be manufactured utilizing common tooling, resulting in over 50 redundant tooling items being discarded.- Identified missing tooling items and compared them to upcoming customer orders to forecast and avoid production holds, preventing 10+ production holds.- Implemented a tooling organization system for two swage machines based on the 5S’s of lean engineering that allows machine operators to have easier access to tooling.

The meticulous calibration efforts resulted in a remarkable 15% improvement in the accuracy of pipette measurements.- Led the initiative to compile a chemical inventory list featuring over 2000 unique chemicals across multiple laboratories, complete with Safety Data Sheets to meet OSHA requirements. Simultaneously, managed the safe disposal of 150+ hazardous chemicals, contributing to enhanced organization, efficiency, and improved access to laboratory chemicals.- Directed the implementation and training of staff on a new emergency alarm system for 40+ pieces of lab instrumentation. Vigilant monitoring of the system led to the identification and elimination of 100+ hidden errors in equipment, fostering increased access to the instruments and creating a safer laboratory environment through proactive measures.
