These plants include joint ventures BASF FINA LP and Sabina Petrochemicals LLCThis includes direct supervision of 6 professional staff employees and indirect supervision of 27 hourly employees.Successfully lead the plant through a very tough separation of joint venture partners. Increased the reliability of each of the plants through collaboration of experts in technology and operational excellence while reducing maintenance spending year over year. Successfully implemented >$16M in capital improvement/revamp and executed two separate turnarounds totaling more than $32M.

Responsible for the daily operations and support for Cold Section operations of the steam cracker (olefins complex) and downstream Pygas (Aromatics) unit.Areas of responsibility include large turbomachinery operation/optimization, hydrogenation technologies, distillation/separation technologies, and extractive distillation.Key team member that implemented flare minimization practices that saved the plant more than $260M in the first two years. Reduced chemical usages that saved the unit more than $10M over one and a half years.

Responsible for operations support of several units including, FCCU feed hydrotreating, ULSD hydrotreating, and Lube Oil units.Responsible for increasing ULSD production to 130% of design capacity through creative operation with no capital or maintenance expenditures while extending catalyst life from 6 months to greater than two years.

Responsible for the daily operation and optimization of the hot side of the steam cracker and the utilities support.This included Cogeneration Plants, Boilers, Lummus SRT VI & SRT III furnaces, gas fractionation and heavy oils separation.

Responsible for development and maintenance of the Port Arthur sites' HAZOP studies and first revalidation.Responsible for development of the grass roots PSM Programs.Responsible for development of the original RMP Plans for the steam cracker and C4 complex.One of three team members responsible for creation of a corporate wide software/database for Accident Incidents/MOC's/Safety Suggestions for managing EHS programs.
