My key responsibilities at the American Red Cross are to ensure the medical equipment is calibrated, repaired, and have been evaluated for its performance and safety measures. This is accomplished by using preventive and corrective maintenance and documenting the work being done. Other responsibilities include creating the records for the equipment, annual inventory as well as computer and network repair. During my experience at the American Red Cross, I have taken on the role of the Co-Chair of the Safety Committee for the Western Lake Erie Region in January 2013. As Co-Chair, I have implemented new ideas in order to protect the company and most importantly, the patients. I took leadership role in January 2014 by becoming the Chair of the Safety Committee for the Region. As Chair, I initiate sub-committees to develop preventive safety measures. Once our team develops a plan, I present the innovative ideas to the management team.

During my internship at Firelands Regional Medical Center, I received a variety of technical hands-on repair experiences. Those include: Cardiac Monitors, Defibrillators, Infusion Pumps, Neonatal Fetal Monitors, Respiratory Equipment, Telemetry, Ultrasound (Therapeutic), Ventilators, Treadmills, ECG Monitoring System, C-Pap, Baby Warmer, Doppler Flow Detector, Air Compressor (used for the blood line in lab), Scales and Surgical Cooling Helmets.

As manager for Sports Maniac, I was responsible for inventory control, placing orders, marketing and closing procedures. With experience as a manager, I have learned that communication between your customer and co-employees is very important. To communicate effectively and carry out tasks as necessary in a timely manner is of upmost important. This also includes communication through email using Microsoft Outlook and creating projects or graphs using Microsoft applications.
