I have been interested in computers and tech for as long as I can remember, I built my first PC when I was 14 and have been hooked since, which is what lead me to start pursuing a career in IT through Merit America. I have spent the past 7 years working in the trades, first as an electrician and now as a general contractor. This has taught me how to work with people and complex problem solving. Working as an electrician also opened the door for me into Data/Comm work and networking through a traveling IT Technician/Installer position, where I got my first taste of the IT world, driving all around the country working with switches and servers, and getting a better understanding of how commercial networking functions. I can't wait to make the career swap so I can learn even more!
