I taught a Digital Illustration class with a focus on interactive and online media. We created art and imagery for use in 2d engines like "Game Salad." I really wish I could have continued teaching there but I had a crazy semester load was too maxed out after the Fall.

Design Lab

I lectured for the Art/Design department at UT for their new video game curriculum. My primary focus was on the Art/Design side, but the program will have a capstone where RTF, Computer Science, and others collaborate together to complete a video game.

I taught a perspective drawing class early on then some 3d fundamentals class but the focus was rounding out training for a top-notch illustrator. Gemini school also has an amazing traditional and digital 2d program.

I wouldn't exactly call it WORK. Just fun to talk about games and game design with future members of my industry. There were folks who work hard for Artspark. I don't think they do Artspark anymore. If anyone wants to update me about this, I'm happy to edit this thing.

I started off as a Cinematic artist for Turok3 among others. I switched to an in-game Artist for All-Star Baseball 2002 where I made some baseball environments. I tried to put in all the "extras" in my environments. An example would be a cloth simulation for NFL Quartrback club field goal net or an animating waterfall in Kauffman field. I made the nice crowds in the stadiums including the greenscreen shoot, roto, compositing, and making game ready. Acclaim Studios Austin no longer exists but I learned a lot during my time there.

Avid Media Illusion compositor. 3dsmax modeling and motion tracking. This was a while ago and Eric Hanken (the owner) was a great guy to work with and it was fun to step out from work and be downtown on the Riverwalk in San Antonio to go grab a beer. Bauhaus Media Group is a much bigger company now. Congrats to their success!!

A long time ago before most people ever heard of Dragon Ball Z, I worked at a small company near Ft. Worth Texas called FUNimation Productions Inc.. I created their animated logos and also the 3d title animation for the show. Season one began and so did the obsession that people of all ages had for the show. Sadly, a great deal of my 2d work there had to do with cencorship issues. We meticulously edited frame by frame to fix animation that might be too much for an American audience. This allowed the show to air so that kids could watch it. I've seen lately that the show has been allowed to air almost as it was visually. Back then, I got to sit and watch the original Japanese version of the shows during my lunch break and they were pretty amazing.
