My interests in computers started at an early age (ZX81, Spectrum etc.)... but I've always been quite eclectic... so I studied Computer Science and Biochemistry at Keele. I managed to get a degree despite having a thoroughly wonderful time at University :-)I obtained my first job by writing around 100 application letters to local companies... and ended up working for a company that also employed a neighbour across the street (a bit of a surprise when he came across the road and asked if I'd like to come in for an interview !)I always enjoyed working close to the hardware... and most of my early professional career involved low level coding. I got real enjoyment out of making hardware do something quickly and efficiently. I've always felt that a strong adherence to well documented and structured code techniques is important, and my career experiences have more than once proved that to me.I'm now more in management, involved in finding partners to improve business opportunities for the company I work for. There's a lot of truth in that old saying... "United we stand - Divided we fall"... and re-inventing wheels has never been something I've been fond of :-) You can go a lot further, faster, by sharing....
