Dr. Wise has over 30 years of experience in the practice, research, and project management of information science, human factors engineering, and display system design applied to aviation and aerospace systems. Dr. Wise has a long history of widely recognized research in aviation human factors, primarily addressing issues of information systems, automation, and future systems. He has lead international interdisciplinary teams on projects sponsored by government agencies – e.g., NOAA, FAA, NASA, NATO, Eurocontrol, DGAC, Centre d'Etudes de la Navigation Aerienne; as well as various corporate sponsors (including Boeing). His research has impacted the design a of a wide variety systems including: F/A-18, F-15E, AV-8B, high definition television standards, nuclear power plants, computer interfaces, and training systems.
