A member attorney at Motley Rice, I am actively involved in many of the firm’s litigation areas including:• Asbestos and Mesothelioma• Environmental• Medical• Occupational Disease & Toxic Tort• Securities and Consumer Fraud My work in asbestos exposure cases has lead me to represent clients both in individual and mass tort forums, as well as in complex asbestos bankruptcies including NARCO and W.R. Grace. I also direct Motley Rice’s team of asbestos bankruptcy senior claims administrators and manage the claims processes. Regarding environmental law, I have been actively involved in representing people and businesses in Gulf Coast communities impacted by the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, playing a central role in the negotiation processes that resulted in both BP settlements and the Halliburton settlement.I began working with Motley Rice in 1997 as a litigation trial paralegal for firm co-founder Ron Motley, specifically working with State Attorneys General in Florida, Mississippi and Texas on the landmark Big Tobacco litigation. I served as a judicial intern to Judge Sol Blatt, Jr. of the U.S. District Court of South Carolina, and Judge Jasper M.
