Elected Official who is a member of the Township Board, has committee assignments, and serves as department head. Serves the people of Ela Township fairly and equitably while providing a high level of customer service and satisfaction from staff. Currently supervises, manages, and trains eight employees in the fair valuation of over 17,000 commercial, industrial, and residential properties with a market value of $8 billion. Facilitates field inspections, structural measurements, calculations, sales analysis, market studies, and income and expense analyses to determine the fair market value for all properties within Ela Township. Coordinates the efforts of staff in the processing and evaluation of over one thousand assessment appeals and reviews annually to determine proposed settlements and defense strategies. Has provided over 100 hours of expert testimony before various appeal boards at the county and state levels. Works with local and state leaders on property assessment legislation. Educates business and community leaders, as well as homeowners on the assessment process through various outreach sessions, forums, and speaking engagements.

Oversees the financial and accounting aspects of the campaign. Monitor and reports all contributions and expenses and ensures compliance with the State Board of Elections.

Worked side by side with Village Administrator to experience the inner workings of village management with a focus on identifying the various stakeholders on issues and maintaining relationships with all parties to ensure a smooth process. Established database for new software the village acquired to serve as their main source for tracking building permits, billing, and all other information required. Attended board meetings, prepared agendas and board member packets, dealt with controversial issues, researched and helped to prepare ordinances, and worked on a beer and wine liquor license application submitted by a gas station owner that had opposition from residents. The summary of my research was included in the board packet with my recommendation for modifications to the ordinance, which was unanimously approved by the board.

Proudly served as medic for two combat tours to Iraq with the US Marines. Provided first line care at the point of injury during the initial invasion of Baghdad. Awarded the Navy and Marine Corps achievement medal for valorous actions. Later served as platoon corpsman with 1st Battalion, 6th Marines in Fallujah. Successfully completed over 100 foot patrols, day/night combat missions and detainee operations as the sole medical provider. Assisted in the training of Iraqi soldiers and police.
