Project focused indirect sourcing role where I focused on the streamlining of our leased rail car fleet as well as strategic decisions and the financial analysis for renewals. Negotiated a $5MM rail car lease that required presentations to the VP of Supply Chain and the CFO providing significant returns to the business along with first year savings and supply security in a tightening market. Negotiated and implemented a new model for dedicated trucking of inbound raw materials for two largest roofing facilities ensuring necessary service levels, inventory management, and cost reductions over the current common carrier model of greater than 10% at each facility. Completed my Six Sigma Green Belt on hurricane response for forward deployment of trucks in a disaster recovery situation learning valuable skills of optimizing inventory, plant capacity, and cost in a short notice situation where first to market had strategic advantage in market share and selling price.
