Think of me as a startup catalyst. In a world of change and uncertainty, I help people double their entrepreneurial courage - even if they're in a sea of self doubt.Every day, I am motivated to help people find and apply their buried entrepreneurial talents. I specialize in helping individuals find synergies between themselves and a viable business idea – to boost their work-life satisfaction. As an experienced entrepreneur, marketer and investor, I’ve observed that most startups fail due to a lack of “fit” between the entrepreneur and his or her business idea. While most startup advisors help entrepreneurs achieve a “product/market fit,” I add the crucial “self” piece to this equation (as in “product/market/self fit”). After all, if an entrepreneur isn’t fully aligned with her business idea, her startup will suffer. My efforts to coach entrepreneurs include creating Venture Superfly, a website that helps entrepreneurs create a higher-performing startup. Additionally, I was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the University of Minnesota, where I mentor student entrepreneurs; currently, I am a Tech Partner with Matchstick Ventures, an early-stage tech venture capital fund. Prior to this, I was a CEO-in-Residence at the university’s Venture Center and an owner in three startups. My core skills include business planning, marketing, product development, sourcing, and launching new consumer products.I’ve participated in innovation projects with McDonald's, Best Buy, Hershey’s, Procter & Gamble, Arm & Hammer, Hallmark, Ziploc, LensCrafters, Kimberly-Clark, S.C. Johnson, Chase Bank, Philip Morris International, Sargento Cheese, WaterPik, Green Mountain Coffee, Outback Steakhouse, Char-Broil, Woodside Homes and other companies.I have an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. If you have an entrepreneurial itch, contact me to help you discover your best path!
