Teaching courses in education to future teachers as part of DePaul's highly regarded teacher training program. Specific coursework to date has included a graduate course to finalize preparation for student teaching; an upper level methods course for future social studies teachers, and an upper level course focused on preparing future teachers to teach in an urban environment.

As a member of the Chicago Innovation Team at OneGoal, I worked with my colleagues to directly address and positively impact the academic and social issues which affect the ability of low income, minority students to enroll and persist in college. I led a three-year pilot program providing direct service mentoring to over 120 OneGoal Fellows at various Chicago Public School high schools and on multiple college campuses throughout the Chicagoland region.I created and led the first OneGoal Fellow Advisory Board, bringing student voices into our work, and generating unique opportunities for student involvement in our organization, including in media outreach, development and curriculum design.I helped to spearhead the organization's shift towards progressive pathway options for OneGoal Fellows by researching dozens of job training programs across the city and nationally, building relationships with these programs, and leading the dissemination process to inform my colleagues and the organization at-large about these programs and their potential impact on our Fellows.With the Innovation Team I trained in human-centered design, in DEI strategy, and in cross-functional collaboration, and either led or participated in several prototype projects including OneGoal's Campus Kickoff at Chicago City Colleges, the Cash Transfer Project with the University of Chicago, and the Overnight Campus Tour and Student Training at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.

As a candidate mentor and as a lead mentor for the Chicago National Board Resource Center, I established and led cohorts of National Board candidate teachers in the field of social studies; organized, coached and evaluated mentors in their preparation of National Board candidates; and met with Mayor Daley and the Illinois State Board of Education to lobby for funding for the Chicago National Board Certification program.
