• Refer Review of precertification requests for medical necessity, referring to the Nurse and Medical Director those that required additional expertise.• Refer Review of clinical information for concurrent reviews, extending the length of Stay of inpatients as appropriate.• Provide appropriate consultation and referral to Case Management Personnel• Provide Advice and counsel to precertification staff• Maintain accurate records of all interventions and provide timely verbal and written reports.• Maintain accurate records of all communications and interventions.• Review, Approve and deny cases of precertification.
