In an IT mangement role, I assisted up to 60 users dispersed across the UK and Europe, operating on a 1st and 3rd line basis to resolve desktop and server infrastructure problems. My key accountability was network and server administration, in addition to PCs, phones and applications. I led a team of developers to resolve any emerging issues and designed a business continuity framework to guarantee minimal downtime. Key contributions included:• ITIL standards introduction and best practices to improve service delivery.• Server support for a new Exchange 2010 solution across the operation.• New systems for video conferencing, sales, pricing and property managers.• Precision management of the IT budget for all purchasing and assets.• Introduction of new apprenticeship schemes to increase internal talent.• SME on AD, DHCP, LAN, Citrix, VMWare, MS Exchange, backup and storage.

Designed built and managed a new network for the top 20 senior executives working on a variety of projects and managing project teams of up to 20 technical staff. Technical support includes use of AD, DHCP, DNS, and Storage, E-mail, Network, Security and AV. • Worked on securing funding of £500k and was the Technical Project Manager of a project that included building servers and creating a new domain • Responsible for the design and implementation of a new net app storage solution, acquiring £3m funding and managing the contracted technical staff • Designed new Computer Equipment Room and secured budget of £200k• Technical Lead on new retail bank Managed Print solution (£20m), including initial supplier negotiations, tender process and working with the selected design partner until BAU implementation • Technical Delivery of all aspects of project management including Finance, Hardware Ordering, Server provisioning, and implementation into Pre Production and Production • Dealing with Vendors and third party suppliers, HP, Microsoft, NetApp and VMware, to input into roadmap for windows Infrastructure services, and hardware technologies • Creation of all Windows SBB (Standard Build Blocks) for hardware, software and all service offerings

Built and managed team of five to provide support and development of IT systems for 600 employees across 11 sites with 60 servers reporting to the Chief Information Officer and preparing reports for Board. • Systems included Citrix XP, Windows XP, 2000 & NT; Office 97, 2000 & XP. Administrator for all network devices and Exchange 5.5 & Exchange 2000 • General administration of the following areas users, permissions, exchange, Backup and Restores, DNS, DHCP • Redesigned and implemented new network, converting token ring to Ethernet, driving the decision to update system, preparing a report for senior management detailing speed, reliability, benefits and costs. Planned and managed this £100k project across 200 workstations on target and budget• Managed the integration of five companies following acquisition, involving evaluating independent database systems and web-based applications integrating or developing them to Rubicon systems • Managed contracted companies in their provision of Administration, Citrix and Network/AS400 support, defining and monitoring key performance indicators, £1.8m value • Built the five person team as company expanded from 45 to 600 employees and as external contracts were brought in-house, implementing in preparation for previously contracted work• Upgraded from NT4 to 2000 on desktops and servers planning this £160k project and managing the team and contractors to implement the upgrade• Designed and implemented five local networks at remote offices: connection to wide area network • Implemented helpdesk system, accounts systems and web based systems (citrix & web sphere) • Supported the IT FSA compliance process• Designed and implemented Video Conferencing suite in boardroom
