As the Director of Public Relations, my responsibilities include connecting Matters of State with listeners and social media, promoting Matter's of State to the public and recruiting guest speakers. Moreover, I work with colleagues on internal matters, such as episode production, writing, and research.Matters of State is a lively international affairs analysis podcast written, hosted, and produced by a group of young professionals in Washington, DC. With each episode, the Matters of State team mixes together their fresh perspectives on the under-reported aspects of what’s going on in the world. While drawing on our diverse sets of personal, academic, and professional experiences to understand the trends discussed on the show, we all try to learn as much new information about each topic as possible.

Interos Solutions provides supply chain risk management and cyber security strategies for commercial and federal clients. As a business analyst, I work for a government client reviewing federal and internal policies as applicable to the client, assisting in managing the client's supply chain risk management program, drafting program metrics, and assisting with program outreach to raise awareness of the client's services and capabilities.

The National Security Fellowship was created for graduate students at select-universities in Washington D.C.. Fellows met throughout the fall 2015 semester with leaders and prominent figures in U.S. foreign policy to discuss and challenge conventional approaches to issues such as terrorism, cybersecurity, the future of warfare, and environmental security. The fellowship concluded with a cumulative project and presentation over the aforementioned issues by small groups of the graduate fellows. I worked with a small group of graduate fellows to create and recommend a new approach to U.S. policies in cybersecurity. We challenged assumptions of current cyber policy, recommended a strategic evolution for future cyber policy, and constructed a flexible lexicon for terminology associated with cybersecurity.

As a tutor in the International Dialogue Program, I help international students acclimate to life as a graduate student in the United States. In addition to being a cultural ambassador, I help students with homework, edit papers, help with administrative work and organize social events with other students and tutors in the program.

My responsibilities include researching materials on North Korea and international affairs, drafting and editing issue and policy briefs, attending congressional hearings, meetings and seminars on North Korea and East Asia, drafting summary reports on events attended, maintaining the Committee's website and assisting with planning and hosting NCNK events. At this internship, I am learning about issues concerning DPRK and East Asia and the workings of the foreign policy community in DC.Affiliated with Mercy Corp, the National Committee on North Korea (NCNK) is a well connected group of US policy makers, scholars, etc, with extensive backgrounds in working with the Democratic People's Republic of North Korea. NCNK seeks to promote dialogue and engagement between the United States and DPRK.

As an English teacher for JAK English, I served as a substitute teacher and private tutor at many different private schools around Seoul. I was required to adapt to each school and their curriculum while managing classrooms with elementary and middle school students. As a private tutor, I designed my own material for 2-3 hour sessions with middle and high school students.

As part of this paid internship, my responsibilities included assisting in the coordination of corporate travel and directly assisting international visitors from Iraq, Angola and Equatorial Guinea. Tasks included drafting cost estimates for clients, coordinating daily transport for visitors, giving tours of the Houston area and a variety of other tasks associated with corporate travel. This position required use of Spanish language.

My responsibilities included ensuring the quality of Ecomass products and coordinating the shipment of products.
