A pan European renewables player with a particular focus on wind & solar PV, along with associated power-to-x (P2X) plays. I’m responsible for growth markets (so far - and counting - Iceland, US, Denmark, Romania & brought in our Italian & French partners) & new business models.In July 2021, v-ridium Europe became a 100% owned subsidiary of Greenvolt. In November 2022, v-ridium was rebranded as Greenvolt Power.

True Luwak provides one of the finest and authentic wild Luwak coffees available today. The coffee is from the Arabica bean and is found in the jungles of the Gayo mountains, located 1600 meters above sea level in the north part of Sumatra, Indonesia.The coffee is harvested strictly from wild civets (i.e., Luwaks) that are never caged nor forced-fed. Rather, our coffee bean collection adheres to traditional methods, respecting both animal & land.

Over a 2.5 year time frame, I built Vestas’ global team of senior originators & project developers spanning Asia, Europe and Latin America that originated 4+GWs of development plays in 12 countries. We won auctions, negotiated corporate PPAs and entered & exited investments with superior financial gains. We also created several development platform partnerships in Europe and LATAM that provided the foundation to scale further.In short, by the time of my departure, Vestas was well-positioned to truly excel in global project development.

Reformulated a ~500MW European development effort into a 3+ GW global development business over a ~3 year period within GE Capital's Energy Financial Services (EFS) in London. Was responsible for all energy development across GE, including renewables & CCGT generation. Effort included directing new market entry positions in Asia & Latin America whilst building additional development positions in Europe. Also formulated & implemented new multi-market strategic partnerships as a means of efficiently scaling activities.

Responsible for originating equity investments for GE Energy Financial Services (EFS)

Managed all commercial aspects of the business unit, including project origination, financing and execution along with personnel management, strategy and budget responsibility. In 2005, joined two other project directors in a team of three in start-up mode. Within four years, was managing the business unit, consisting of 35 people located in several countries, representing over 75% of AES' global wind growth prospects before rationalisation in 2012-13. After proving the business concept and financing & constructing over 275 MW in three countries, sold most of the business units due to a change in corporate strategy. Selected accomplishments:- Executed ~ $180 million of equity investments in the business; realised equity returns for AES in excess of 15%.- Managed team on 6 project financings, raising in excess of US$400 million of non-recourse project debt, and delivered all projects on time and on budget.- Negotiated, closed and managed strategic partnerships in France, UK, Bulgaria, Greece & Poland and advised international teams in Brazil, India, South Africa and China to similar outcomes.- Originated, negotiated & closed St Nikola, one of south-eastern Europe’s largest on-shore wind farms: a 156 MW, € 270 million project in Bulgaria. The project received “2008 Sustainable Energy Deal of the Year” from EMEA Finance magazine, "Deal of the Year" by Invest Bulgaria, set a new best-practice standard for environmental management, and leveraged IFC and EBRD non-recourse finance.

Entrepreneurial ventures including environmental technology development, mini-hydro development and a biomass supply business

Principally responsible for private equity investing, new business development initiatives, project development, negotiating strategic alliances and corporate development.

Integrally involved in strategic planning, development and implementation of database, networking and communications systems. Projects included building a quantitative equity valuation multi-factor model, developing a set of portfolio optimisation software tools and developing an automated, more efficient client billing system.
