My former career as a Cabin Manager with Virgin Australia was like no other. In my 12 years of flying I was grateful to have unique travel experiences and positively impact the guest travel experience. This role developed strong interpersonal skills in building trusting relationships with stakeholders. This served me well in times of conflict resolution where a decisive empathy lead approach was required to resolve volatile or sensitive matters with a sense of urgency. High levels of problem solving, attention to detail and keeping active lines of communication open were essential. These skills coupled with those gained during completion of my Bachelor of Food and Nutrition Science in 2019 allowed me to pivot into the Banking sector, following the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. In my current Associate role I have completed rotations in Broker Construction, Customer Lending Solutions and Client Exits BAU in the past 18-months. This has built resilience to quickly build capacity to effectively execute a role and demonstrate adaptability and professionalism whilst doing so.
