My extensive experience in managing overseas suppliers has highlighted the vital need for businesses in the UK to have direct interaction with manufacturers on a face to face basis. Factory visits, audits, commercial negotiations and conducting due diligence are essential components to ensuring the smooth running and success of the business relationship.As an expert in this field I recognise that just visiting Asia’s main cities and hosting “hotel lobby” meetings are a waste of valuable time and money. To get to know, fully understand and build a meaningful and trusting relationship with your supplier you need to travel the extra many miles (and sometimes uncomfortable ones). Overall responsibility of all aspects of sales and procurement. Managing multi functional teams including internal sales, external sales, new product development and product procurement. Major input into marketing. Direct reports of 4 senior managers with overall head count of 22. Responsibility includes P&L.

Responsible for full P&L of SE Region.Sales and Commercial responsibility for 4 service depots supplying automotive batteries to the auto after market including National Fast Fits and specialist vehicle OEMs.
