This role has required extensive travel in China to assist in managing existing manufacturers, researching and finding new suppliers and identifying new product trends to serve a dynamic UK market. My extensive experience in managing overseas suppliers has highlighted the vital need for businesses in the UK to have direct interaction with manufacturers on a face to face basis. Factory visits, audits, commercial negotiations and conducting due diligence are essential components to ensuring the smooth running and success of the business relationship.As an expert in this field I recognise that just visiting Asia’s main cities and hosting “hotel lobby” meetings are a waste of valuable time and money. To get to know, fully understand and build a meaningful and trusting relationship with your supplier you need to travel the extra many miles (and sometimes uncomfortable ones). This involves in-depth factory visits to ensure that you have a true understanding of how and where your products are manufactured.To ensure a professional working relationship I will work on an exclusive project by project basis, with mutually agreed key targets and deliverables.Therefore other than our agreed contractual fees there are no additional agency costs and no commissions, thereby you know the true cost of securing the services and product.I work flexibly and so would be pleased to meet up to discuss your requirements in more detail and demonstrate how I can add the same value to your business as my extensive track record proves.
