I like to think of therapy as a collaborative healing experience where we can work together to help improve the aspects of your life that are troubling and help you discover your untapped strengths and potential in the process. My hope is that the patient feels empowered, can increase their confidence, and develop a better understanding of themselves, in the many unique ways that it may look for each individual. This isn’t just a way to “think better”. We know from recent scientific discoveries that psychotherapy and hypnotherapy can allow deep healing in the mind AND the body as well! My background includes working with adults and young-adults dealing with a variety of issues, such as Anxiety, Depression, low self-esteem, life transitions, grief, and many more. Additionally, I work with individuals who have chronic health conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Chronic Pain, Asthma etc. Chronic conditions of all kinds are issues that deserve to be treated with the utmost patience, diligence, and compassion. My clinical work, research experience, and my own personal history with chronic health conditions makes me a great resource for these individuals. My uniqueness is found in my patience, compassion, and well-developed ability to bridge the mind and body in a powerful and healing way. I choose to use an integrative approach, including psychotherapy and hypnosis, due to different personality types, socio-cultural factors, and the unique needs and goals of each client. I recognize that there isn’t just one way to help everyone and therefore, I implement aspects from various disciplines into my sessions.
