When I transitioned from the public sector to the private sector in 2010, I learned how valuable Recognition of Prior Learning is for people, like me, who have spent many years working hard and need to translate their skills into nationally recognised qualifications. So, I got myself a job as a Skills Recognition Specialist with Churchill Education, working in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Sector. I enjoy the opportunity to keep on helping people without the gory bits of my past career as an Advanced Care Paramedic.I have over 27 years experience being an Advanced Care Paramedic, delivering emergency response care and with the Public Sector, spanning the UK and Queensland. During these years, I have held roles from an Administrator in the Crime Support Group with the Metropolitan Police to delivering front line emergency care to the people of London and Brisbane.
