John co-created the Global Justice Fellowship, a training program for American community organizers advocating for the rights of women and LGBTQ people in the Global South.Program Development | Designed and facilitated text-based dialogue and skills-building program reaching 150 community leaders across the USA, focused on contemporary human rights issues, policy, and advocacy. Led seminar programs in El Salvador, Liberia, Nicaragua, Peru, and Uganda.Effective Management | Managed the recruitment, hiring, training and performance management of 30 seasonal staff for international service-learning programs. Increased year-over-year retention.

The Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (FASPE) is an expert-moderated text-based seminar program for graduate students in medicine, law, seminary, and journalism. Students use the historical lens of the Holocaust to examine contemporary ethical issues in their field.Program Development | Organized the first major fellowship year, including designing and managing the selection process and coordinating travel logistics for multiple 12-day programs to Germany and Poland for graduate students and faculty.Recruitment & Selection | Directed university outreach and recruitment efforts. Increased number of applications in second year by 225%.Event Management | Coordinated inaugural two-day Alumni Symposium for 60 alumni, faculty, and guests.

Leadership & Management | Led 30-day wilderness expeditions for struggling youth, ages 13-20, incorporating lessons on conflict resolution, assertive communication, effective listening and technical skills.

Conflict Transformation | Planned and facilitated initiatives, low ropes and high ropes activities and guided discussions for youth, ages 13-17, from the Middle East, South and Central Asia, and the U.S, to develop their cross-cultural communication and conflict resolution skills.
