An El Paso native, John Carbajal has been in San Antonio since 1997 and began working on the San Antonio River Walk in 1998. In 2018, Carbajal made the leap from hospitality to real estate when he joined Keller Williams City View, after being recruited by one of the top real estate teams: The Trey Group - One of the San Antonio Business Journal’s top real estate teams. The Trey Group chose Carbajal because of his vast knowledge in customer service that includes over 20 years working on the San Antonio River Walk in the Hospitality industry. And most importantly, because of Carbajal’s immense networking connections and passion for volunteering on several elected boards & local associations across Bexar County, and the state of Texas, which make him a valuable asset to any team or organization. Carbajal is also co-owner and presenter of Dos Coas - A Spirit Experience venture created in 2013 while working for, the locally owned & independant operated, Paesanos Restaurant Group. Established in the wake of the 1968 HemisFair, the Paesanos Restaurant Group is one of the oldest and most heralded in San Antonio; a community institution still going strong 50+ years later. Along with business partner, Chef James Moore, they produce unique and entertaining event experiences such as guided tastings with chef-selected food pairings to formal gatherings at San Antonio's premier destination locations such as The Alamo, The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, as well as top hotels including an five-diamond hotel & multiple resorts. This unique and entertaining experiences is on The San Antonio River Walk's highly-sought after restaurants for convention groups. Carbajal & Moore have extensive hands-on beverage training with 20 distilleries in Jalisco, Mexico and the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, as well as with multiple local Texas distilleries and breweries. Both were educated in their field, learning from the spirits industry's coveted Master Distillers and/or Global Ambassadors at industry conferences and through exclusive, invite-only, private educational tours and courses. Carbajal and Moore also have extensive experience with private barrel selecting from top producers in the Tequila and the Bourbon industry with more than 20 private barrels selecting to-date.
