I specialize in helping impact investors with structured finance, portfolio construction, metrics and evaluation, strategy and operations. My career began with 17 years as an investment banker, centered on M&A, Restructuring, and Capital Markets. I have extensive experience evaluating, improving, and financing business models and marketing strategies in various industries. I left Wall Street to help start and build Her Future Coalition, an international organization that creates empowering opportunities for survivors of gender violence to build an independent, safe and rewarding future. While doing this work I consulted for other social enterprises and recognized there was a demand for finance skills in the impact communities, which lead me to start working directly with impact investors and enterprises. As part of that work, I created the revenue-based finance structure that became the Grunin Prize-winning investment structure Performance Aligned StockAs Senior Advisor for Toniic I am responsible for overseeing operations and building and expanding impact solutions with a focus on impact strategy, innovative finance, and impact evaluation. My portfolio at Toniic includes developing member education and advisory services. I research, design solutions, and teach courses to impact investors on the methods of extending the techniques of modern portfolio theory to incorporate impact. I am also an advisor to Women of The World Endowment, helping them with their investment process and connected advisory businesses. Through my work helping develop Toniic’s impact measurement and evaluation solution, Toniic Tracer, I applied my expertise in machine-readable data structures and metrics systems for impact, ESG, and sustainability, and their connected XBRL taxonomies.
