I am also responsible for the technical pursuit and development of new business in North America and for improving the overall financial performance of existing business through material cost reduction and the elimination of factors contributing to the cost of non-quality.I lead a team comprising of 4 managers and in upwards of 30 engineers and designers. As the Chief Engineer, I lead the Product Engineering Group, the Test and Reliability Group, the Advanced Development Group, the Applications Engineering Group, and the Design Engineering Group. The Test and Reliability Group performs testing on not only products for which I have direct responsibility for, but also for door latches, interior components, and roof systems. -

I was also responsible for leading the expansion of our product offering into inside and outside door handles with new business wins at Navistar and PACCAR, and into cable window regulators with a new business win at Tesla Motors. -
Engineering Group ManagerDelphi 1999 - 2011Troy, MichiganAs an Engineering Group Manager, I had the responsibility of managing a large technical core group focused on the design and development of door modules, window regulators, and other associated door hardware mechanisms. During this time, I was a key member of several critical technical teams - change management implementation team, Chairperson for Lessons Learned, Chairperson on the Intellectual Property Board at Delphi, a Business Process Owner (BPO) for Advanced Development, a BPO for Product Line Performance, and a BPO for Program and Project Management. As our company evolved through several reorganizations, I assumed additional responsibility for managing Applications Engineering (2001), Test and Reliability Engineering (2006), Project Management (2007), Design Engineering (2007), and Advanced Development (2007). When Delphi sold our Division to Inteva in 2008, I assumed responsibility for managing the building space that our company moved into, and from 2009 until 2014, served as a Co-Chairperson on the Headquarters Building Committee.I also had the opportunity to manage a key Delphi initiative where the objective was to maximize Delphi technical product offerings into a new product. The initiative I managed was the Modular Door Team, and the key objective was to create a flexible/agile modular door concept that incorporated door structure, interior trim, door hardware components, safety components (side door airbags), and electronics. -

During my time as a Project Manager, I managed the successful development and launch of 3 door module programs and one rear compartment latch program, meeting all corporate flawless launch metrics, including on time delivery, first time quality, and all financial hurdles. On one of the door module programs, a late customer decision created a challenge where the door, which was designed with conventional hardware packaged, had to be redesigned to incorporate a door module, and needed to be launched in 20 weeks. We were able to do that successfully.

These locksets comprised of lock cylinders for front passenger doors, glove compartments, rear deck lids, fuel filler doors, and removable T-Tops. I supervised workload of as many as 3 employees. During this time, I managed the development of painted key cylinder technology and implementation, and initiated development of single key system implementation at General Motors.
