Goodson is also Managing Principal and a Financial Advisor with Goodson Wealth Management in Nashville and Winchester, Tennessee. Goodson is also owner and developer for one of the Cumberland Plateau’s premier gated communities, Myers Point at Sewanee. He has held sales and management positions with Westinghouse Cable TV (Dallas) and Sparrow Records (Nashville) before transitioning to his position as a Financial Advisor with the Edward Jones Investment Company in 1992. He started Goodson Wealth Management in 2000 and started an independent Wealth Management firm in 2007. Born in 1959 in Marshall, Texas, John attended the St. Andrews-Sewanee Episcopal boarding school as a teenager. Goodson’s grandfather, father, and uncle have all been Episcopal priests. Goodson is married to Melissa Campbell Goodson and they have two children. The family has lived in Sewanee since 1994.
