I started as a Technician repairing analogue copiers and typewriters in Tamworth and Moree. Within 2.5 years meet the love of my life and moved to Brisbane - that was over 20 years ago! As I’m well known for my empathy and understanding with customers, over the next ten years I quickly became relied upon as the customer “fixer”. I was given the task of networking multi functional devices (MFD’s) and applying software solutions which embedded the latest of technologies. I also spent a couple of years working on large print room production devices.With the help of a several mentors over a ten year period I decided to put my hand up for the role of Digital Analyst… I was trusted with the job! To say this role was a steep learning curve would be an understatement! Luckily enough for me I gathered new mentors who guided me through the pre-sales process, installing and supporting of numerous software solutions. I was in this role for approx. 5 years.After 15 years working for the same company I decided it was time for me to broaden my horizons and took the role of Solution Analyst here at Fuji Xerox. After 10 months and with the knowledge I had on software solutions, I moved into the role of Solution Specialist (pre-sales), supporting Account Managers in a blend of Corporate, Agents, Government and Education sectors. It was in this role where I truly found my passion for software solutions - but it wasn’t enough. Whilst I loved my role and the people I worked with, I found it hard being bought quickly in and out of client discussions and felt I could offer more… So in May 2019, I took the leap of faith and took the position of Account Manager – Education here at Fuji Xerox and I have to say, I couldn’t be happier!My experience across a range of customer facing, solution focussed roles has helped me develop and transition throughout my career. This blend of skills coupled with my fantastic mentors has kept me on my constant journey in career growth.
