Co-Founded by Alan and John Lindsey, Lindsey Self Storage Group’s only focus is self-storage. We are backed by over 50 years of experience in every aspect of the self-storage industry, including, but not limited to: brokerage, development, and management. Lindsey Self Storage Group is the name in self-storage.

The SSA is governed by an elected Board of Directors of 12 persons as well as ex-officio seats for the President and CEO and the General Counsel. The SSA Board of Directors is comprised of duly-elected industry leaders from all of SSA's various constituencies including affiliated associations, member companies of all sizes as well as vendor firms. The Board meets quarterly and the Executive Committee meets more frequently, as needed.

The SSA’s Young Leaders Group (YLG) is made up of SSA direct members, 40 years of age and under, who have expressed an interest in making a career in self storage. The functions of the YLG are overseen and directed by the YLG Advisors. The YLG Advisor’s mission is to create opportunities for the future generation of the industry to grow together though group specific education and socialization, while promoting the values of the SSA, encouraging involvement in, and identifying future leadership of the association.

The Self Storage Association of South Carolina Inc., a non-profit organization, was formally organized in 2012. The original purposes of the Association were outlined as follows:To unite the membership in a non-for-profit association of persons, partnership, corporations, limited liability companies, real estate investment trusts and other entities actively engaged in or interested in, the self storage business.To develop and encourage high standards of business conduct by those engaged in the self storage industry.To develop through research, discussion and exchange of information, better standards for the development and operation of self storage facilities.To provide a forum for the education of association members, self storage owners/operators and of the general public.To provide opportunities for members to increase their knowledge of self storage business and to improve their individual capabilities.To provide leadership on issues of concern to members of the Association.To do any and all things that are lawful and appropriate to further these purposes which are found necessary or convenient as permitted by the laws of the State of South Carolina.

Youth Entrepreneurship South Carolina (YEScarolina) is the leading non-profit organization in South Carolina dedicated to teaching youth the principles of entrepreneurship and free enterpriseYESCarolina has helped thousands of young people from communities statewide build business skills and unlock their entrepreneurial creativity. To date, YEScarolina has trained and certified over 600 South Carolina teachers on the subject of entrepreneurship. These educators in turn have touched and inspired thousands of young South Carolinians with a thirst for entrepreneurship. YEScarolina offers entrepreneurship training to public school teachers statewide without charge.
