About John Chattin
Following my prior career as a biomedical equipment engineer, I have 16yrs of experience in "IT". Let alone growing up fully aware of DARPA, as well as utilizing the internet for bulletin boards and email at it's advent. I got an opportunity to work a second job as a network administrator while maintaining my Air Force career. Evolving from system analyst, to network admin, then engineer and ultimately architect for sustainability. All on the same network, that grew exponentially across the nation. In a further evolution, I specialized in automation and cybersecurity. DLP for executive reporting and for blocking and throttling of anything from an individual to an ASN. Cracking into SSL to better understand traffic patterns typically encrypted. I learned what crypto truly means and how it should apply to individual responsibility; which we lost at the advent, or I wouldn't be employed.
Listed skills include Cisco Technologies, Troubleshooting, Dns, Tcp/Ip, and 40 others.

Network Engineer
I began my career with Bright House Networks in 2004 as a Support Systems Analyst and became familiar with an overall view of BHNs network and service offerings. During my time with Support, I developed a rapport within the Network Operations group by ensuring accurate communications between groups during maintenance activities, ensuring success. I was hired into the Network Operations Center Backbone team in 2006 as a Network Administrator and continued to support successful execution of network changes and implementations. In 2007, I was hand selected and transferred to TSO as a NOC Technician to pioneer the newly formed team. TSO began a tiered approach to Suport Operations and formed what is today's Surveillance/Carrier Operations teams. During my time within TSO, I worked to identify more efficient methods of trouble management as a first level responder to events across all services. I helped to lower Mean Time to Repair to record times as well as resolve over 80% of networked events with no need for escalation, which, effectively reduced the workload for all NOC groups allowing them to focus on a more proactive approach to services. All of these previous experiences leant to an even wider and more granular perspective on overall current network transport and attached products. This accumulated experience resulted in a promotion to Network Engineer for the National Network Operations Group based in Tampa.
