As a research assistant at Orygen (employed under the University of Melbourne's Centre for Youth Mental Health), I help conduct psychological research in the PRESCIENT study on early onset psychosis amongst those aged 12–30. My responsibilities include recruiting, consenting, and screening participants for study eligibility, conducting clinical interviews, reviewing participants' case records and medical histories, liaising with various health centres across Melbourne, scheduling appointments on behalf of participants, recording and managing participant data, and arranging follow-up assessments with participants, amongst carrying out other administrative and associated duties relevant to the research project.

As part of the CHASE program, I helped conduct fortnightly workshops at St Albans Secondary College where our team engaged with a group of ~40 high school students on topics of nutrition, physical activity, respect & relationships, alcohol & other drugs, and mental health, amongst other topics relevant to healthy adolescent development. Through this, we worked to empower youths through health advancement and interactive community engagement.

Listening, communicating, and delivering crisis support to at-risk individuals are my core responsibilities as a crisis supporter. I have interacted with over 150 unique individuals who reached out to Lifeline in a crisis. My training is informed by best practice approaches to providing effective suicide intervention and management of self-harm. I am also trained in identifying signs of domestic, sexual, and/or child abuse, and applying evidence-based frameworks to navigate mental health crises and safety.

Tutoring at the University of Melbourne under the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences, my primary responsibilities included facilitating classes and guiding students through the subject content for Developmental Psychology (PSYC20008). As a tutor to 70 undergraduate students across three tutorials, my role involved doing my own independent preparations prior to class, grading assignments (i.e., essays and lab reports), arranging student consultations, and communicating with students regarding out-of-classroom concerns such as information about the university's support services/resources, health and safety on campus, and other study-related matters.
