There was a crisis in coordinating cars to transport the candidate and campaign volunteers to the site, and John immediately stepped in to set order the manic scene. Once everyone was assured to be in their necessary places, I saw John step out to make a few calls to remind some individuals who were hesitant to donate to tune-in to the debate. Finally, following the debate and nearing midnight, John and I joined our candidate’s mother-in-law in singing Happy Birthday in Spanish to one of the community supporter’s children. When given a litany of varied but all seemingly impossible tasks, John completes each and every one with excellence, and is then rapidly onto working on the next project. His un-ending work ethic- coupled with a positive attitude and a wit that can bring smiles on the most stressful of days- have him naturally leading others in the workplace by his example.
