John Choi is an artist, engineer, educator and entrepreneur all-in-one. With over 10 years experience developing computer simulations in a variety of programming languages and over 4 years experience rapidly prototyping hardware, John Choi’s particular specialty is in combining AR/VR/XR mixed reality interfaces with robotics.After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Art in 2017, John Choi has collaborated with multiple departments and laboratories at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), including CMU’s Human Computer Interaction Institute (HCII), CMU’s Entertainment Technology Center (ETC), CMU’s Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion, and CMU’s Physics Department. Currently, John Choi is a staff research engineer with the Wireless Sensing and Embedded Systems Lab (WiSELab), a systems research group in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Carnegie Mellon University.
